L.C.'s Closet: Hurricane Harvey Effort
Hurricane Harvey swept through Houston and surrounding cities in Texas leaving a trail of devastation. The public offering of help and support to those that were hit the hardest was more than anyone expected. The Dr. L.C. Carter Foundation was able to collaborate and garnish the support from a special donor and close friend of Dr. Carter from Los Angeles, who desired to send name brand business casual and professional clothing attire to help professionals at all levels returning to the workforce in style. Meet business owner and international real estate entrepreneur, Jane Byrd, the first recipient of L.C.'s closet.
Our first charitable donation
The devastation of Hurricane Harvey was felt across the globe. We as a foundation received several calls from several resources asking how they could help. Within a day or so of the devastation, we received a call from our first donor sparking the idea of L.C.'s Closet.
